Matthew A. Gibbs

Mr. Gibbs joined Oxford Bioscience Partners in 1997. He has 14 years of investing experience in the healthcare and technology venture industry. Prior to joining Oxford, Mr. Gibbs was with The Venture Fund of Washington, a healthcare venture capital firm. Previously, he was with MedVest, Inc., a venture capital syndicated fund with Johnson & Johnson Development Corporation, Oak Investment Partners and Marquette Venture Partners. Mr. Gibbs received his B.A. from the University of Colorado and completed Executive Programs from Harvard Business School.



Herb Goronkin

Dr. Goronkin served as Vice President and Director of the Physical Research Laboratories within Motorola Labs prior to his retirement in 2003. He received a BA, an MA and a PhD in physics from Temple University. Following research assignments in the areas of compound semiconductors, silicon ICs, optical sensors and microwave semiconductor devices, he joined Motorola in 1977 to develop GaAs and subsequently established and led other electronics and biotechnology programs. Dr. Goronkin started Motorola's world leadership in tunnel junction MRAM technology.

Dr. Goronkin is a Fellow of the IEEE and member of the American Physical Society and Sigma Xi. He has served on numerous conference committees and professional organizations. He has over 65 patents and numerous publications. He received Motorola's Distinguished Innovator Award in 1992 and the Master Innovator Award in 1995. He was a member of Motorola's Science Advisory Board Associates and was selected as Senior Engineer of the Year in 1993 by the Phoenix Section of the IEEE. Dr. Goronkin is a Motorola Dan Noble Fellow.



Steve T. Jurvetson

Mr. Jurvetson is a Managing Director of Draper Fisher Jurvetson. He was the founding VC investor in Hotmail (MSFT), Interwoven (IWOV), and Kana (KANA). He also led the firm's investments in Tradex (acquired by Ariba for $6B) and Cyras (acquired by Ciena for $2B), and most recently, in pioneering companies in nanotechnology and molecular electronics. Previously, Mr. Jurvetson was an R&D Engineer at Hewlett-Packard and worked in DRAM manufacturing at Mostek. He has also worked in product marketing at Apple and NeXT Software. As a Consultant with Bain & Company, Mr. Jurvetson developed executive marketing, sales, engineering and business strategies for a wide range of companies in the software, networking and semiconductor industries. At Stanford University, he finished his BSEE in 2.5 years and graduated #1 in his class, as the Henry Ford Scholar. Mr. Jurvetson also holds an MS in Electrical Engineering from Stanford. He received his MBA from the Stanford Business School, where he was an Arjay Miller Scholar. Mr. Jurvetson also serves on the Merrill Lynch Technical Advisory Board and is Co-Chair of the NanoBusiness Alliance. He was recently honored as "The Valley's Sharpest VC" on the cover of Business 2.0 and chosen was chosen by Forbes as one of "Tech's Best Venture Investors", by the VC Journal as one of the "Ten Most Influential VCs", and by Fortune as part of their "Brain Trust of Top Ten Minds." Mr. Jurveton has written several columns on nanotech and other developing technologies.


Randolph H. Levine

Dr. Levine was the founding executive of ZettaCore. At the time, he was vice president for business development at Clinical Micro Sensors, Inc., a DNA diagnostics company subsequently acquired by Motorola, Inc. Previously, he held senior executive positions at Digital Equipment Corporation, including managing Digital’s worldwide sales and marketing efforts in the chemical, pharmaceutical, and oil and gas industries, and directing the company’s product strategy and planning activities. He also started Digital’s environmental solutions business and has served on the board of the Analytical Instrument Association. Prior to joining Digital, Dr. Levine spent ten years teaching and conducting research in astrophysics, primarily at Harvard University. Dr. Levine has a B.A. in Physics and Mathematics from the University of California at Berkeley and a Ph.D. in Physics from Harvard University. He is the chairman of the board of the Colorado Nanotechnology Alliance.

Leslie L. Vadasz

Mr. Vadasz was Executive Vice President of Intel Corporation and President, Intel Capital in addition to being a member Intel's board of directors. He is a Director Emeritus of Intel.

Vadasz joined Intel in 1968 as part of the founding team. His first responsibilities included the development of semiconductor memory and microprocessor products. He became Director of Engineering in 1972, responsible for all technology and component development, and was elected as a vice president of the company in 1975. In 1976, he became Assistant General Manager of the Microcomputer Division and a year later was named General Manager of the Microcomputer Component Division. He was elected Senior Vice President in 1979 and became Director of Corporate Strategic Staff. He was General Manager of the Systems Group from 1986 until 1990. From 1991 until his retirement in 2003, he was Executive Vice President responsible for Intel Capital and its predecessor programs.
